He delivers timely sophisticated estate, business and retirement planning case design assistance to the top tier of advisors and agencies within the MassMutual Financial Network. In addition to this case design work for affluent clients and small business owners, Tom is also actively engaged in all aspects of tax, estate, and business planning training of the MassMutual field force. His duties include development of marketing and sales material in support of the use of life insurance in financial, estate, and business planning. Prior to joining MassMutual in 2016, Tom worked for MetLife in a similar role. Before joining MetLife in 2000, he worked for GenAmerica Financial as an estate and business planning consultant. He has published articles in the Journal of Deferred Compensation, Life and Health Advisor, Small Firm Business Magazine, and the Journal of Financial Service Professionals. Tom graduated from the University of Dallas with a degree in English and a minor in International Studies. He received his law degree from the Washington College of Law at the American University in Washington, D.C. He subsequently received his LL.M. in taxation from the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
