April Caudill, JD, CLU, ChFC, AEP is a Director of Business and Advanced Solutions at the Principal Financial Group, providing tax and legal support for advanced business and estate planning cases. Previously, she worked in advanced planning for two other major carriers and was the managing editor of Tax Factsat the National Underwriter Company. April is a past national president of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the 2014 recipient of its Kenneth Black, Jr., Leadership Award. She is also a frequent author and the first place winner of the Ken Black Jr. Journal Author Award in 2002 and 2018. She is a contributor to Retirement Income Redesigned by Harold Evensky & Deena Katz (Bloomberg, 2006) and co-author of The Mutual Fund Handbook (National Underwriter Co., 2001). She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and the Salmon P. Chase College of Law.
