Retirement Planning in a Riskier World: A Case Study to Longevity Planning (Chapter Hosted Webinar)
September 25, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
New risks emerge when clients transition from the workforce to retirement. Financial buffers that existed from employer-sponsored plans are no longer accessible. Clients must make broadly irreversible decisions that impact their income for the rest of their lives. Risks that clients didn’t have to plan for while they earned an income are now more prevalent and immediate at retirement. Increased longevity adds pressure to the planning process to mitigate more risks than ever before. This webinar will present case studies that address our clients’ most complex problem – planning for longevity in a riskier world.
Attendees will learn:
- The impact and proper use of guaranteed income in a portfolio.
- How long-term care events affect the healthier spouse and his/her longevity planning.
- How to use noncorrelated assets to stabilize income during retirement.
- The proper use of cost-basis planning during legacy planning on income assets.
