Long-Term Care Insurance is only 40-years-old and is reeling from a mid-life crisis.

Hear from the region’s leading experts about the state of the market, the CA Partnership, and how to maximize LTC sales in a very different marketplace.

Learn about new regulations that advisors should know, including the costs and the types of care, regional difference, and how to finance it.

 

Expert Panelists:

Thomas W. Orr is a Long-Term Care Insurance industry expert with more than 29 years of experience.  Since 1987, Tom has specialized in training insurance agents to market LTC insurance, as well as consulting with insurance companies and agencies nationally to develop LTC insurance products, agent recruiting programs and agent training programs.  He also consults with the CA Department if Insurance regarding LTC and its curriculum.

Katie O’Rourke, CLTC is a 30+ year veteran of the insurance industry and Managing Partner of California Long Term Care Insurance Services, Inc.  Katie has been a speaker at local and national insurance forums for Long Term Care planning.  She works with consumers, businesses and associations and trains insurance professionals on the need for Long Term Care planning.  Katie is a member if the National LTC Network.

Bridget Collins works with independent marketing organizations (IMOs) and brokerage general agencies (BGAs) to grow the OneAmerica® Care Solutions product line.  For more than 20 years, Bridget has worked in the financial services industry specializing in the distribution, sale, and marketing of long-term care planning solutions.

Maxwell Schmitz, MSFS is a third-generation specialist in morbidity risk solutions, starting full-time at DI+LTC Insurance Services in 2009.  Max earned his Master’s degree in Financial Services through the American College and is Past-President of NAIFA-Marin.  He co-authored “The Questions and Answers on Disability Insurance Workbook” and has been a speaker at FSP, NAIFA, and NAHU events across the state.
